Our Story: Welcome to the Squish Squad!
We are a close-knit, family-run business based in the UK, but more than that, we are a family on a mission. If you’ve ever tuned into our live streams, you’ve probably seen the absolute joy, bright colours, and satisfying crunches of our sensory toys… not to mention the mayhem! But to understand how we got here, we have to introduce you to the true heartbeat of our shop: our daughter, Sophia.
Meet Sophia: Our Chief Product Tester
Sophia is bright, incredibly creative, and absolutely loves everything to do with sensory play. She also happens to navigate the world with ADHD and autism.
For Sophia, fidgets, squishies, and sensory toys have never been “just toys.” They are essential tools. They help her focus when her mind is racing, bring a sense of calm when the sensory world gets a little too loud, and provide that perfect, satisfying physical feedback that makes her feel grounded.
Over the years, Sophia became an absolute expert on what makes a sensory toy truly great. She knew exactly which squishies had the best “slow-rise” texture, which ASMR crackling balls made the most satisfying sounds, and which fidgets could withstand hours of busy hands.
Her dream? She wanted to open a shop of her very own to share this exact passion with the world. She wanted to build a place where kids, parents, and collectors could find the highest-quality sensory items without the guesswork.
How could we say no?
A True Family Adventure
We decided to roll up our sleeves and bring Sophia’s dream to life together.
Sophia officially stepped up as our Chief Product Tester. Every single item we stock – from official Scrunchems and viral NeeDoh to satisfying ASMR squeeze balls – gets the “Sophia Seal of Approval” before it ever makes its way to our store. If it doesn’t pass her rigorous tests for stretchiness, texture, and sensory satisfaction, we don’t sell it!
Stuart (Dad) co-hosts the live streams, helping Sophia get through the chaos as best as possible. He actually works in IT normally but for some reason got the job of talking on camera, something he is still not quite comfortable with! He also created and maintains this website (hello!)
Liz (Mum) is our logistics captain and stream co-pilot, bringing her background in sensory toddler play (you might know her from Moo Music!) to help curate things that support childhood development and sensory integration.
Hermione has recently taken up the role as Apprentice Product Tester (APT) and you may see her from time to time invading the live streams!
Anabelle is our official hype girl, sharing the stream and advertising to the masses.

We started this shop because we know firsthand how life-changing the right sensory tool can be. Liz navigates a busy workday with ADHD herself, so we know that fidgets aren’t just for children – they are invaluable tools for neurodivergent adults, workplace concentration, and everyday stress relief.
